Miniature Chair Place Card Holders
June 6, 2007
Wedding mistakes are an eternal subject for The Knot. That’s how they make their money, getting people to think that they absolutely, positively cannot live without the things on the site. FYI, if you do not have a professional makeup artist do your face on the big day YOU WILL GO BLIND. Unfortunately, proper place card holder decisions is not one of their just-sort-of-but-not-really-helpful articles.
Instead of useful advice, brides are left to wander alone in the place card holder wasteland, a place where you might end up choosing something like these little wire wonders from American Bridal. Well, just because The Knot can’t fulfill your every advice need doesn’t mean that Stupid Wedding Crap can’t step up. Here’s your advice: do not buy these place card holders. They cost $8.00 each and even if they are “the perfect addition for people who collect miniature chairs” they are ridiculous. Well, unless your wedding has a Victorian Chair theme. Then these are probably perfect for you.

I have to say that I kind of love tiny furniture, but you can get four times as many for half as much at American Science and Surplus: http://sciplus.com/singleItem.cfm
I think where people get wrong is shopping at stores with the word “bridal” in them.

How can you not love something that has a source of combustion near a source of fuel? Celebrate that wedding with a four-alarm fire!
D’OH!
