Worst Bridal Fashion Advice Yet

June 6, 2007

Charles and CamillaNotice that I didn’t title this post ‘Worst Bridal Fashion Advice Ever.’ There is a clear distinction because I’m sure that it is possible to find advice worse that the tips I just found. I would somehow connect this to Schrodinger’s Cat and the core beliefs of existence set forward by Rene Descartes, but I haven’t had any chocolate today. Physics and philosophy both require chocolate.

What doesn’t require chocolate is a severe warning regarding a series I just found on FavorIdeas.com. The post started out fine, with an exhortation to think about skipping the fluffy white dress if you’re not a virgin. What should you do if you’re not wearing a fluffy white dress? Consider Camilla Parker-Bowles and and her suit. I have to admit that this suit is pretty spiffy and entirely appropriate for her. The hat raises a lot of questions (Is there an animal emerging from her brain?) but the suit coat is pretty terrific. She looks like she could be in a geriatric version of The Matrix.

That’s a compliment.

What isn’t a compliment to anyone is the series of awful suit ideas on FavorIdeas.com. It was the first article I read on the site and now I’m not sure if I can trust a single thing that they have to say. So, I ask of you, please go and read about the horrible suit ideas, and then skip them all and wear something fabulous from the Mother of the Bride section at Nordstrom, even if you’re the bride, not the mother.

There just aren’t enough references to Schrodinger’s Cat in everyday life.
