Precious Moments Cake Toppers, Part 1

June 21, 2007

Precious Moments Cake TopperAm I the only person in the world who is creeped the heck out by Precious Moments cake toppers? They all feature children partaking in old-fashioned wedding rituals, such as crossing the threshold (shown here).

And do not tell me that the little girl bride here is please. She looks like a wide-eyed deer caught in the headlights of child pornography. And the little boy? Well he’s obviously thinking ‘What the hell am I doing?’ Damn, all I can do is think about Warren Jeffs and those freaking child brides.

Do Precious Moments cake toppers promote child brides and polygamy? I’ll leave that for you to decide.

LOL - I don’t think that they promote child brides and polygamy - but they are pretty creepy when they are dressed as adults…I have to admitt that I used to love getting the stuff as a child…I still have a little plate with my name on it and a picture of a precious moments girl…

I’ve hated Precious Moments for as long as I can remember. They’re just creepy and make me flip out. I hate them with a passion. My fiance is threatening to buy PM stuff just to irritate me. I believe that is when I threatened his ability to have kids.

Bleh. This is totally creepy. Anything where children are doing adult type things isjust wrong. I went to a wedding once where they had a 5yr old boy remove the garter from the Bride. they thought it was funny. when his hand slid up her dress, I thought it was extremely weird and creepy…Funny? not so much.

LOL! Someone gave me one of these when we got married, and I thought it was a bit creepy, but nothing compares to the pregnant one I got when I had my 1st child. Yikes!

My Maid of Honor’s parents gave me a Precious Moments cake topper which I felt obligated to use! The thing was CREEPY, and I was so relieved when it tumbled off the cake and smashed. LOL
